Missing a Single Rehearsal
For individual absences, please follow these steps:
- Before rehearsal: Fill out the Member Absence Form (takes 20 seconds)
- Emergency / Running Late? Text 0489991212
- Forgot? Fill out the form within 10 days or we'll reach out to you
- No response after 10 days? Membership automatically pauses
Longer Absences - Your Options
For planned or extended periods of unavailability, we offer flexible solutions:
Membership Freeze
For exceptional or extenuating circumstances. Allows you to participate in concerts even if attendance drops below 70%. Fill out the member absence form.
Membership Hold
Can't make the next concert? Put membership on hold for the season—keeps your place while giving you a break from the 70% rule. Fill out the member absence form.
Membership Cancellation
No longer able to commit? Cancel anytime using the Membership Cancellation Form. No refunds, but you can rejoin free before your original renewal date.
What Happens with Pauses & Closures
Understand the process for membership pauses and formal closures:
Membership Pause
Begins after 10 days of no communication from an initial absence.
Welcome Back Immediately
Respond within 8 weeks of the pause start date to reactivate your membership.
Membership Formally Closes
Occurs if no response is received after 8 weeks from the pause start date.
Step Back for ~3 Months
After formal closure, take a short break before reapplying.
Reapply at No Cost
After 3 months, you're welcome to reapply at no cost (before original renewal date).
Discuss Rejoining
Email members@australianchristianarts.com to discuss rejoining.
Only rehearsals announced at least 3 months in advance count toward attendance.
